Flowmaster 80 with 2.5 inlet outlet

Flowmaster 80 with 2.5 inlet outlet Hi there
I bought a 96 WS6 Trans Am. I saw that the car has a new Flowmaster 80 mounted with 2.5 in- and outlet. but the endpipes are smaller, probably 2.25 from the stock muffler I guess..
My question is do i have to get bigger endpipes for better performance or sound??????????
The car is mostly stock I guess ( iam no expert)
but the sound isnt so dramatic when i sit in there and accelarate.
should I change the endpipes for bigger ones??
2.5 or 3 inches?
