A little fuel pump w/ pre and post filter. -10 fuel lines. I may end up running the pressure regulator in the back and using a dead headed line to the carb. Don't feel like running 2 -10 lines to the front. I can run 1 through my pass side SFC

another nice piece came in, WCCH ported tall deck LS7 carb manifold. I decided to use this instead of the mast in hopes of keeping things under the stock hood....fingers crossed

well crap, as I had feared...it won't fit under the hood so there goes the nice power bulge hood, time for something aftermarket then

it would probably clear without an air cleaner

I got a lot done. Project is well underway to becoming a running car. I rebuuilt a 2004 LS1 from a corvette and modified it a bit here and there. Running carbed because I wanted old school for a change. I do have a holley mid ram in case I want to change to EFI

Building up the LS1:

time to drop it in

and mate to the T56

it's in

this fits like a glove

no need for the mast oil pan I have,.... I'll use it for my other LS swap with stock crossmember then.

Home built SFC/trans mount combo works out fine

Daytone Sensors SmartSparkLS ignition controller

the D1SC is something I thought about since I had it lying around. I mocked it up to complete the brackets and spacers but it will not go on here... I built the engine with a tighter uench (much tighter) and the cam is not SC friendly. I dont want to grenade it.

Building the exhaust, speed engineering headers into 3"Y into 4 merge stepped downb to 3.5. Will get 2 spintechg mufflers in the rear but I was short on elbows and need to tweak the drivers side tip to get the turn downs equal distance from the edge of the bumper. the 2 sides next to the storage compartment are not symmetrical

fabbed new fuel lines that run through the SFC for protection and with armoring around where it's exposed. uses a bulkhead on both sides to hook to soft lines

installed my driveshaft, it's a tight fit and uses a 1350 yoke. This will not break.

I'm using a C6 power steering pump and pulley for easy access to the bolts. Biggest problem is getting a line on it. i fabbed an an line but with the pulley on the B nut on the hose end runs into the pulley ugh... So, time to fab a short hard line adapter.

Result:

Took some careful bending on a stock return line to get that to fit

next is the cooling setup, i'm using a C5 radiator that's an almost exact fit. All it takes it drilling a hole for the locator stud/drain port. The C5 dual fan setup will work also but my acumulator is in the way, Otherwise it would have fit beautifully. I may move the accumulator a bit and use the C5 fans if the single spal is too weak.

Nice shot from underneath

What k member is that? Also, I wish Speed Engineering would have had these headers available before I dropped a grand on Hawk's Stainless Works. You exhaust looks great. That is rare on these cars even when they are not swapped.

Bmr. K member. I prefer tge umi one however but at the time wasn't available.

The headers sure fit nice for what they cost. Even have merge bullets. Didn't have to grind unlike on the ri headers and obx stuff I've tried on other builds

Any reason for the UMI preference? I'm am looking to go tubular on my 90' Camaro and just by looking at pictures the UMI seems to have "clunky" motor mount pads. I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible before pulling a $3k trigger.

Clunky pads? The umi one is a lot more meaty than the bmr unit.

Those foam things catch on fire very easily. Biggest junk filter out there IMO. Using a 14 inch filter from stefs.
