Headers, exhaust slp lid and bellow and a dyno tune with some 315 tires on the back it will run good. If you want it to run really good buy some heads and a cam and a stall.

to do list

get paypal account
clear corners for it
lid buy a used one off here
catback exhaust
ls6 intake
frost mail order tune

headers if you get the itch
stall converter

and now is a great time to buy springs and shocks ,some great deals on new stuff .

dont waste your time with ported throttle bodies and underdrive pullies . Save up for some texas speed headers and y pipe .

But realistically do the lid, cat back , 180 or 160 thermostat , and frost tune . those few things will wake it up a bunch and not break the bank , esp if buying the lid and catback used.

Dont do themostat unless you have h/c/i or bigger cubes. It wont help but hurt your power because the motor is made to perform at that temp. The more major mods you do will make it run hotter so you go to a lower thermo. Ask me how i know ive seen em dyno it. 98 z28 headers true duals lid maf bellow intake and 160 swaped in a stock one because the numbers where low and gained 10 ponies.

I somewhat agree with you, bot not 100%. I also love how a stock WS6 looks and sounds.... But in my mind, with an eleven year old car a few things will need to be changed just to make it a little more safe and perform better.

Plus isnt it nice to know that you worked on a few different parts of the car and made it a little of your own?

Agreed. I have a WS6 with 15k and everything is stock on it with the exception of an SLP lid. I dont want to do anything else to it really...Now on the other hand, my 2000 SS has some nice bolt-ons so its the best of both worlds...

Sometimes I wish I would have left mine alone, I like the speed but also when i drive my buddys stock Ws6 i regret touching mine. maybe a Fast toys lid and cat back. But know when you make it faster the parts get expensive and stuff will break. Either way nice car and enjoy.

It is TOTALLY stock and 100% the exact same as when it left the factory (other than tires) It has 43,500 miles on it and im looking for this to be my fun weekend project so shoot me some good ideas. Thanks guys! =D
since u have an 01-02 model u can also get the slp 1.85 rockers for a quick 15hp and no other mods necessary. install time is about an hour. i have them for sale because i went with a high lift cam and had to go back to the stock ones. normally they go for $560-$590 new. im selling them for $375 including shipping.

i would work on maint. first, make sure all fluids are up to date. Get NGK spark plugs in. Then SLP Lid, Smooth Bellow, K&N Air filter. P&P TB. u can get the TB off ebay cheap. like 30$ + shipped then for nice sound purpose, TSP LT's and Sweet Thunder true duals.
