Default installed SLP "cold air" box

just put on the SLP air box.
Had to look at instructions from Summit...and they're pretty lame. They make everything to complicated.
i think i got it all figured out, but i have no idea where that rubber seal goes! Also, the instructions show 2 little plastic "pins" that goes through the bottom of the SLP box. i don't know what those are, but i don't have them. I see the 2 yellow fasteners that are holding the plastic piece in front of the radiators...but they're to short to go through the holes on the SLP box. After screwing it down, it seems pretty secure.

anyone else have those problems?

i already had the stock lower air box cut and the other plastic piece from the "free ram air" mod, so i just lid it down, screwed it in place, and put the 3 foam tape pieces around the back side.

we'll see how it goes on the morning drive to work.

how did it hold after the ride? i bought my car with one preinstalled and im not happy. when i got it the thing was rubbing on the hood. since then i cut the smooth bellow they installed also down so that it stopped hitting the hood but the stupid right clip hook refuses to stay on. im now assuming its because the stiff bellow dont flex when the engine torques thereby pulling my lid

10hp is advertised I believe...I'm not sure how accurate that is.

I actually enjoyed mine. I have pulled mine this spring and sold it on here. I have an 02 WS6 and found that my IAT were lower pulling from infront of the radiator down low than the ram air. So I blocked off the front of the lower airbox. 10hp is fair to say.

I think those pins your seeing are from the shroud infront of the radiator. Mine were white.

it's the ram air "box" that goes under the lower box.

no noticeable difference....shocker....

i did send out my pcm for a tune and we'll see how that goes.
