'Birds in Sportsman Classes at U.S. Nationals Here are pics of just a few of the 'birds that I saw in Stock & Super Stock at the U.S. Nationals earlier this week.
Yes, that is a VW Beetle in Super Stock trim.
Anyone who follows Stock & Super Stock knows about Dan Fletcher & his '69 Camaro. You should also recognize the Hatari Firebird driven by Peter Biondo.

Slate Cumming's Moser Engineering-backed Firebird Stocker versus the "other brand's" f-body
These two Super Stockers have two of my favorite paint schemes. It also helps that they're both Firebirds!
Gary Emmons's LS Firebird Stocker. Without seeing the engine, I am not 100% sure if it is LT or LS-powered. NHRA rules permit the LT powerplant in LS-bodied 'birds, so some are still using them.
The Emmons Family also has an LT Firebird that runs in Super Stock.
Firebird Roadster running in Super Gas. I don't care much at all for the delay box classes (Super Comp 8.90 & Super Gas 9.90), but I thought this car was neat-looking.
The Emmons' Super Stocker versus a Dodge Stratus Super Stocker (nice use of flames in the paint scheme).
