97 Firebird base- ram air hood?
Hey all, so I've been looking at hoods for a while now, but the process just got speed up today. Someone stopped in the middle of the road for no reason and I rear ended them
I found a place near me that sells factory, OEM parts and their base hood was $243, but their ram air hood was only $198 (obviously without an airbox, they also said this was a factory part). Will a base fit a ram air hood without any major changes on the front end? Also, is there any way to tell if it is factory? This place was recommened by my insurance agent, a body shop manager, and the cop who responded (who used to do auto body). So, they seem like they wouldn't rip anyone off. They had the Civic's rear bumper, which is what I hit and get to replace, for only $76.
I also need a front bumper, anyone know where to get a cheap one? Cheapest I've found is $250+
Thanks for any help.
Here's some pics of the carnage.. Worst part of it is the Civic help up better..
