skip shift
1) Don't drive like a granny - you bought a 4th gen WS6, right? Drive it like one. This isn't a family car, it's a sports car. Gotta hammer the throttle all the time, every time.
You don't need to run the car to 5,000 rpm in first gear all the time - in fact I recommend not doing this. But get the rpm up to around 3,000, then shift to second.2) Purchase LS1Edit. Along with turning off the skip shift (CAGS) you can modify the entire PCM for the best performance with additional performance equipment. Downfall - it costs $550 for the program and the connector cables, you need a laptop to run the software and program the PCM, and you have to have an idea what you are doing.
3) Purchase instead a CAGS skip shift eliminator from SLP. Cost is only 30 bones and it'll stop the annoying problem with skip shift. The light will still come on on the dash, but the eliminator piece works like a solenoid and stops the mechanics from forcing you into 4th from 1st.
Hope this helps.

YOU'RE GOING TO SLOW!!! HAHAHA!! Give it the gas!! yeah don't worry about skip shift, it is annoying, but if you just drive the beast like it wants to be driven you'll be fine... However, gas prices are going up, and you better be putting premium in that thing so if you don't want the annoyance then get the skip shift eliminator...
