F41 and FE4 Lower A-Arms..Are they the same?
I'm looking to buy a set of front lower A-arms for my FE4. Are they different or not, and how if they are???
I haven't found a detailed thread over this anywhere.
Only reason I'm considering an F41 is because I found a couple with very, very low miles on them..Most the FE4's have high mileage on them.

It would help us to help you if you told us what year Firebird this is for.
This forum is for all Firebirds, 1967 through 2002, four generations.
If you are asking about a fourth gen, 1993 through 2002, all front upper and lower control arms will interchange. IOW, bolt in. The difference between the package RPO codes are in the bushing rubber hardness.

Well the FE4 a F41 pertain to the 1993-2002 Birds. I just wanted to know if they were interchangeable parts.
When I compared pictures of them side to side I noticed the F41 looked thinner then the FE4, that stopped me from ordering the F41, SINCE IT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE MY FE4. You're saying they bolt right in, maybe they do but your sway bar and tie rod mounting points will probably be off.
My advice for everyone is to just stick with what you have.
I'd like to see a side by side comparison of the two. Maybe I'm wrong..I'll look into it a little more.

Ok, here's a comparison...not good enough for me to decide that they are the same. Someone would have to physically measure them out both side by side.
If the bushing are what's different..why would it be a bad idea to use the arm with the bushing not for my vehicle?

Yessir, these parts do swap around freely-they all will bolt up & fit. All sway bars are the same except for their thickness. Control arm bushings and ball joints also interchange.
What makes these parts "different" for the various RPO suspension codes are what durometer bushings are used. There was a different ball joint for the 1LE option. It was nothing but a pain in the *** because it had a different thread on the shaft-and the nut was not included when you bought it.
Some of the earlier 1LE lower control arms had longer welds on their seams.
All suspension components of the fourth generation F-body cars will fit all years.
You'll notice that on websites such as UMI performance and BMR Suspension, they list these cars as "1993-2002 F-Body"
