Can I run Lucas 80W90 gear oil in the rear end of my 99 trans am?

But I am curious to know what weight people are running in their diffs

i looked it up on snap-on shopkey5 and it tells me i should run 75W90 but would it hert it if i run 80W90??

It shoudn't hurt but I have to ask why?

Do you have some 80W90 you want to use up? Or did you get soem for free?

The only time it might make a difference is in the winter.

well sir, being that it uses gear oil, and as long as it's within that range, it will work fine. and hell, throw some friction additive in there, too.

i have like 6 quarts of 80w90 in my garage and would like to use it up its ne never opened i had it for my GMC dually and yes i have a bottle of friction additive to that i would add
