Looking to get into old school muscle after imports and some modern muscle (ls2 Gto). Wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are on these in comparison to 1970 to 1973 Camaros.
I'm just looking for a car to be able to cruise in and have some fun.
Some potentials

And then a Camaro

Thoughts on any of them?

Typically speaking- I'd recommend either of those first gen Firebirds over the 2nd gen Camaro.
- They're smaller and lighter, and will generally respond better to performance upgrades compared to a 2nd gen.
- There are fewer Firebirds than Camaros, making them a bit less of a "me too" car
- First gens are considered more valuable than a 2nd gen.
Since you mention that you are looking for something to get into and drive, I'd look at that '68 with the 6.0 and 700R4 trans. You'll get much better drivability and performance out of that than a Pontiac 350 with 3 speed auto trans.
