Default ws6 vs new camaro?

I have a 2001 ws6 with bolt ons. Does anybody think it will give a new camaro a challenge?

Be more specific. I assume you mean a new SS and not a V6?

Sorry. Yes a new camaro SS. This young kid in the neighborhood bought one and he is saying he would eat my ws6 for lunch. I think my car has so get up and go? But I don't know if it will compete will newer cars? I could be wrong but I'm thinking I'm giving up 70 or 80 hp

Look at the difference in weight. He's got an easy 700 lbs on you. The new SS rated at 426 hp at the flywheel, not the wheels. You would take him.

The V6 will get walked, the SS will edge out a stock LS1 every time. 350whp would probably beat a 6.2l Camaro consistently.

That's just another reason to make your TA faster! Seriously though, depending on how many mods you have I would say it would be a close race. Driver experience also plays a role.

When I was bolt-ons I could beat my buddies 2010 SS M6. Pissed him off so much he had a cam installed. He would talk some **** till I did H/C/I on my car.

Depending on your mods, you might be able to pull. A dig will give you a better chance if you know how to launch. Plus, you said he just got his car, so he will probably end up spinning.

if the new camaro ss is stock you will destroy him! hell if the gen 5 is stock then you could beat him with headers bc of the weight difference.

The new 5th gens are a joke. Definitely not Chevy's best design.

You shouldn't have a problem as long as you got some good tires...

Is the Camaro Stock? and yea make sure you get a video of the run please. there shouldn't be any reason why you would loose. I am almost willing to say a stock Ws6 could beat one or at least be neck and neck because of the weight difference. You could for just added measure take out your back seats and seat belts but you don't need to with your set up that's if his camaro is stock.

With those mods and he is stock!? You got him easily - they are heavy and roll on 20" rims.... Get some drag radials and smoke em.

Found out this morning he got a cold air intake and catback for his camaro. Not sure what kind? Going to have to see if I can track him down to set up a time and place
