I love my WS6 Formula
I ordered a 98 ws6 formula with the 3.42 rearend and all the options(except 10 disc changer and leather seats) off of Pontiacs website.Took 6 months to pry it out of the dealers hands it was delivered too. They sold it to me for 26000 and then realized what a rare bird that they had sold me but I had put a down payment on it with a contract. So after threatening legal action, and after six years, 28000 miles later, lots of mods it is the most fun car i have ever owned and that includes two 5.0 mustangs I ordered and owned.

We formy owners never said we wanted TA clones, I specifically said the ground effects and wing were for ****. The hood and it's purely aesthetic.

kinda wish i had gottin a formula for the weight savings. BTW- when you remove the front crash bumper, the fog lights hafta go to so its no use having that bumper anymore

ws6 is just an upfitting on a 1998-2000 Trans Am, Trans am Convertible, or Formula coupe/t-tops where it got hood, and wheels, (and other non visible things too, like exhaust, suspension, airbox, ect)
in 2001 they made the WS6 package only available on the Trans Am t-top/vert, and not for formula at all, don't know why, but as a benefit there are less than 600 or so of them in existance, so if you own one, thats a nice thing
a friend has a fully loaded 2000 ws6 formy.... A little modified now 427, 12 bolt, wilwoods, ect

the thing thats nice bout the WS6's and all other trans ams...is the stance...it tends to look a bit meaner cuz of the ground effects...looks like it sits lower all around...while relaly not being much of a difference if at all...and it looks more full...like ive seen launches similar to Nine Ball's....when i saw that pic there didnt look like much of a full front body like the T/A's have i guess its the way that the kit fits...jsut oks a bit bigger...so i think personally that it looks better.... Formula big time sleeper! and well...definitely the best stripper car...muchmuch like the Z28
oh adn PS...the WS6 also came with a 3.23 rear end in the autos.... i kinda like it...does me good against a few M6's out here...however i will be converting but 4.00+ 12 bolt here i come (when i get the M6 ofcourse that is)
P.S.S. another thing...why is it that many people say that the T/A's and especially WS6's feel soooooooooo much stronger..i mean i kno why WS6 but why the T/A?...even though its hevier i got 2 budds one with a 99 black T/A and a buddy with a 2000 black formula...then a buddy with a white 01 Z28....
the T/A was faster then the formula but the Z quicker then the T/A (Z has a sport package 3.23 rear on the A4 that explained it to me) but both Birds...were A4's with the stock rears....they both ran within a few .10's of each other...but outa the 3 goes....the T/A took all...and they even switched cars in the 2nd race....so i dont get it...if some1 can explain that...id be glad to hear it...(Dyno #'s are higher in hp for the formula and higher torque with the T/A...ill ask them for there sheets if i can get a hold of them)

I'm with the guy that said he couldn't hack the T/A rear spoiler - the Formula is just much cleaner, IMO. It's a matter of preference. As for the Formula being lighter, that's only true if the car's a strippo. Comparbly equipped, they're about the same - at least as close to make your Formy weigh as much as a T/A as soon as you add SFC's.
