Exhaust cutout

Exhaust cutout
Have a 99 T/A with stock exhaust. I bought a 3 inch exhaust cutout. I am going to place it under the passenger seat up in that little hole right before the muffler. How much louder will the car be? I am saving for headers and i know it will be loud then but just curious on the loudness on a stock exhaust?

the muffler is way in the back of the car behind the rear axle, the only thing near the passenger seat area is the catalytic converter, you need to get to where the 2 pieces of the y-pipe become one before you even think of installing it, I believe many do it just before the bend for the over axle section of piping. pictures of where your saying would help confirm things.

I put mine in the intermediate pipe right before the bend over the rear axle. IMO with a stock system the cut out sounds nice and it is not overly loud but will definitely put a little smile on your face. Be warned though, once you start putting on long tubes or an ORY many argue that the cut out will give the exhaust a raspy sound and drone that can be aggravating.
