sell auto or swap t56?
hello all,
I love my 02 ws6. but my 1 regret was buying an auto instead of a 6 speed. that being said, she is about to come off the road for the winter in a few weeks. and i now have a decision to make. do you think it would be more cost effective to swap a t56 in or to sell my car and just buy a 6 speed? or maybe trade my car + cash for a decent 6 speed? any and all opinions/ideas would be very helpful!!
thanks
Bruce

you'll probably pay more for a t56 then the value difference between on auto and 6 speed bird. Find someone to trade with or sell and buy. Unless you can just find a steal of a t-56.

It'd be less costly to buy a nice torque converter & keep it.
"Punch it & steer, No fightin' for gears!"
Seriously, you should consider it before getting in too deep.
And no, it wasn't meant to an A4/M6 argument.
It was meant that you should really consider this performance modification before tackling something so extreme. (And don't start with me & say it's not extreme, ..., )

I was in the same boat with my C4. I was growing quite bored with the auto. After a lot of thinking and pricing, I ditched the entire car for a manual. I love it so far, but I've only had it for two weeks. Unless you have wrecked parts car, it just isn't worth gathering all of the little things to swap it over.
