Default power antenna

Okay... i got one and it doesn't go up or down. anyone in here know or do themselves rebuild these? How much... where who????

First make sure you get power. Take the rear right trim off, turn on the radio and see if you get a current. If you do, just replace the motor, you can get that from gmparts direct. If you don't get current check the connections on the back of your head unit.

car was not equiped originally with power antenna. does that matter. but thanks to GM the pigtail is there to hook it up. its getting power

i actually installed an aftermarket power antenna earlier this week in my 2000 camaro it wasnt hard at all it was ground power and radio blue i quick spliced the radio wire which was green on the antenna bolted down the ground and added a spade connector to the power wire and added it to my amp. when i get time i want to wire in a on off switch for the antenna to stay down when using my ipod

Maybe you got a new antenna that was bad out of the package. If you're getting power to it, a bad antenna is a good possibility.

it was never new... i got it to work 3x's the other day then stopped working. i here the relay in it click... but nothing
