Long story short, my brother has a 2002 Pontiac Firebird 5.7L V8 WS-6 Ram Air. He needs the driver side power seat switch. No one seems to have it, even online. It's like if it doesn't exist. All i get is the one for the Camaro which is completely different. The Camaro switch is like a rectangular box with 3 switches in line. The one in the center is kinda like a joystick and the 2 in each side are like old power window switches. Anyway, that is NOT the one i need. The one i need actually are 3 separate switches. If you look the driver seat from the out side the first switch from left to right is horizontal and then there is a space and then the other 2 switches which are vertical. I need the first one. That's the one that makes the seat move closer or away from the steering wheel.
I'm posting some photos. I'm not sure if i'm doing it right, though. The photo of the switch next to it's box is the wrong one for my brothers car. Anyway, i will really appreciate if someone let me know where to find this switch. My brother is kinda short and the seat is all the way to the back and it won't move. He can't drive it like that. If anybody needs more information please let me know, Thank you!
Late to the party here but I have been searching for the black plastic bezel that holds all of the switches due to mine being broken. Cannot find one anywhere. On google the only person I can ever see looking for one is you. Where did you ever find one

thanks

BTW, I did open and clean the contacts. Took me two tries but it works ok now. Better than trying to find one which is non-existent. Thanks for the heads-up with that.

I'm not seeing anything - I suggest setting up an e-mail alert on ebay, maybe other sites if you can.

I was ready to go to an manual seat track , but i i cleaned the contacts like everyone else. Theres nothing to really fail in the seat switch unless its just burned up.

yeah that's not the one for the later T/A. It's generally not available as a new part for some reason.

Default Seat not working

Ok, now I’m having the same problem but it’s a bit more complicated on my 2000 Trans am.
i took the seat off the other day to get the leather fixed and everything was working fine. I put the seat back in and now I can’t move the seat back, it’s all the way forward.
I checked wires, plugs all looks connected properly.
The relay seems fine, even swapped with window relay.
I cleaned the switch, same problem. Now when the driver seat is plugged in the passenger switches don’t work but when it’s unplugged the switches work in the passenger seat.
I don’t hear anything when I try to move the seat back or forward. When I push it down it seems to be doing something.
I’m ready to put manual brackets in, does anyone know what I can use for this seat?

Similar issues with the seat not moving. I had to clean the contacts in the switch thoroughly. First time I did it only the up/down worked. Then recleaned it to get the forward/back motion to work. I also had to swap the brackets over as my fabricator reinstalled it backwards. It would be good if we could get a new switch. Maybe try a salvage yard for a late model one preferably.

Before it worked after cleaning the contacts did you hear the motor clicking at all when trying to move it forward or backwards?

yeah that's a tough one. Make sure you're getting power to the switch.

I did a quick search on google last night and saw that, I think, trans am creations has them listed for sale used for 40 bucks. Switch looks correct and I know they go through a WHOLE lot of firebirds so they may be in stock.

Have a link? I did look at many sites before deciding to fix mine and all of them have only the older or a different switch.

Sure, probably the best bet would be calling to verify stock to make sure its up to date.

Weird, my wife just had this problem on her 98 T/A over the weekend. No back and forward, but the up and down would work. Heard the clicking from being all the way back. Read in a GTO forum that some people would pull the fuse for the power seats (#12 in the interior block for our cars). Pulled it while it was running, waiting a minute and replaced. Didn't work then, but I went out to put it in the garage about 20 minutes later and the seat worked as it should.
