Default 02 CETA won't start (video inside)

Howdy! It's almost time for me to be taking the TA out of storage for winter (I was hoping to take it out Mar 1 but someone forgot to tell mother nature it's Mar and not Dec here).

It's not that it doesn't start that concerns me, but rather what the gauges are doing that does. They bounce around like crazy when I have the key in/try to start it.

The car has unfortunately not been started since mid Dec, and as I mentioned it's been cold here (like -22F) on and off. I also didn't disconnect the battery because the plan was to start it every month, but alas my job sent me away and I did not think to disconnect it before leaving.

I considered boosting it, but I didn't want to risk wrecking something if it was a ground problem or something. I also didn't have time to take the battery out and get it tested.

Should my next course of action be to take out, check out, and charge the battery, or is it safe to just try jump-starting it?

Yup. I find my car's battery won't even last a month without having a tender on it. If it's gonna sit for a while, you pretty much have to have one.
