I have a 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.7/350 fuel injection, about two weeks ago engine started to die/cut out, then got worse and completely died and had to jump start it. First thought battery or alternator, it was not those, but then it would not start even jump starting. used starter fluid, it fired up. So thought I would change fuel filter, changed that and it ran for about 20 minutes, had it running again and then when it started die the gas gauge would move to full the three times it died. Changed out the fuel pump and it has been running good for about 1 day and died. I changed the fuel relay and it has been running good for about another day and is now trying to die/cut out but has not yet. Any suggestions or ideas would be great, cause I am going to check distributor/ignition wires next and might even look at adjusting the idle but just wanting to see if I am overlooking something?
