Default ignition problem?

turned the key off pulled the key out and the car was still running took the key out and put it back in and did that a few times went inside and got my spare key and put it in and it did the same thing i finally got it to turn off. Is this the ignition cylinder or something else? If it is the ignition cylinder how hard is it to replace? thanks

Assuming this is for the 2000 Firebird in your sig....

It sounds like the ignition switch is bad. When it happens, does the steering wheel lock?

Here's the parts that make up the ignition switch:

Yeah its for my 2000 firebird, when I took the key out yes it's locked but when it's on and turned to the run position its fine. Do you know if I can go from under neath or do I have to remove the steering wheel clock spring etc..
