Default Looking for a trans am

Where is the best place to find a trans am for sale? Im not even really looking for a ws6 as i own a 4 inch ws6 hood already, but this will be my second car after a 2002 monte carlo ss, however ive been driving v8 cars here and there for a while, I'm looking to pay my own insurance, will it be outrageous? how much do i need for a nice trans am or z28

If you want a decent ride north of $12,000 look on Autotrader, or even Hemmings if you want something that is 'like new' in the high teens or low $20's. If you are looking for cars with higher mileage or 'projects' under $10k, look on ebay. I'll never recommend CL due to scams. There are exceptions to the rule for all these sites I mention, but you are asking a general question. No one can answer your insurance question due to rates for different states, ages, and personal history. My $400 a year (old guy) can be light years from a teenager with 3 speeding tickets in his past.
Good luck with your search!

Got my car from CL but you gotta be extra careful. Didn't hand the money over until she signed the title away.

I bought my Trailblazer (a few months ago), my Firebird (3 years ago) and my second accord (5ish years ago) and sold that accord all on craigslist, you just have to not be an idiot and you can usually spot the scams right from the add. Only deal with people that have the title in hand and compare the VIN on the title to the VIN on the car, there is even a website you can put the VIN into now that will tell you if it's been reported stolen https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck or you can get the carfax for all the info.

Members on the forum sell some nice Trans Am's. But I have purchased quite a few cars off of CL including the Trans Am I currently own. Like another member stated just be careful using CL.

How many miles is a lot for one of these cars? is 100,000 mile car still good for another 50,000? I know it will depend on the car but when do they all begin to wear

I don't see whats so bad about cl. I used it to buy and sell my firebird and buy my ws6 both times I had no problems. My advice though would be always bring a friend or someone big and always call first not text or email, if the person sounds shady simply don't go. Use some common sense

It depends. It's all in the details. A one or two owner garage kept well maintained highway miles car with 100k miles on it may be a wonderful ride with years of enjoyment ahead. On the other hand, a lower miles car that has been left outside, neglected and was used by a teen learning how to shift would be an awful car to buy. I think you get the idea that you can't answer a question like yours without relevant info. Once you find a car that interests you (seriously) then post here or in the "What's It Worth' section with all the pertinent info.
Again, good luck with your search.
