Default New guy needing help on clock spring

I'm having a hard time finding a replacement clock spring for my car. I'm not looking to spend $270 on a new cause of a tight budget. I've found several clock springs from other pontiacs (grand ams mostly). My question is what other clock springs from other models would fit into my car? I've found one at a local salvage yard but the guy will only sell the whole colum and for $100. Plus I would have to remove it myself. Or unless someone has one they would sell me. Thanks guys.

Where is this "Clock Spring" located, and what does it do?

"An Airbag Clockspring is an assembly that contains a spirally wound at ribbon to allow the steering wheel to be turned while maintaining a constant electrical connection to the driver airbag, horn and other electrical steering wheel mounted controls."

Just find your part number and google it. You should then get pages that list the different models that the one part is compatible with.
