I may have missed it and sorry im being lazy whats the HP expectations?
Thanks man, I've been trying to clean up and paint some areas that couldn't be accessed with the engine in, also did the bottom of the K member and the floor pans yesterday since the crappy undercoating that the previous owner applied was starting to wear off. I figure it should be in the 550 range at the crank, torn between a fast 92 or 102, spoke with Tony Mamo yesterday and he was trying to talk me into the 102, just have to convince myself to spend the extra money on new fuel rails and injector spacers etc..
Solid build that kind of power is fun in an fbody. definitely leaving power on the table running the ls6 intake, but depending on use of the car FAST cost vs gain is a tough pill to swallow.

Oh yeah, its getting a 92 or 102 for sure, leaning more toward the 102 now. For now though im putting the LS6 back on to get it fired up and broken in then before i get it re tuned ill put whatever new intake on it.
More progress, should have it finished this week and be able to start it up.
on a side note, found another formula in my neighborhood..pretty clean looking.
Looks great! Hope I get to see and hear it at some point this year.
For sure, you going to the Schiller Park Car show this year?? Our union took the reigns from the village and organized the show for this year..should be a good show if the weather cooperates.

Is that the one on 9/11? It's hard to know my schedule that far in advance, and I think I have another event in September that I'm semi-committed to but I don't yet know if there is a conflict with that date.
There is also a show at Triton college on 4/24, but I never actually plan on going to this one because it usually rains. Plus it's early and I'm not much of a morning person. But I'm still keeping it in mind.

Yep it's on Sunday 9/11, will be at the old Wally Park at Lawrence/Mannheim. Big lot and lots of parking spaces there, so should be a good show. But yeah April is pretty early for a car show, hard to tell what the weather will be like, I'll be in New Orleans during that show though.
Got the engine fired up today, everything sounds good with it, no valvetrain noise thankfully, good oil pressure, and no leaks. The tune in it is still from the same heads and cam LS1, same intake and injectors, was hoping it would be alright to drive it and break the engine in, but its running too lean even at idle. On first cold start the wideband was showing 13.0 but once it warmed up for a minute or to it went off the gauge lean so I'll have to call up a tuner and have him put in a base tune and add some more fuel. Once I can get it broken in I'll change the fuel pump to a 255 with hotwire kit and then upgrade to a FAST intake and bring it in for the final tune. But for now just happy it runs good and there's no issues.
got all the parts in finally and swapped on a new ported FAST 102 with nick williams throttle body. Ended up having to bend down the coolant crossover tube and shave just a small area on the water pump to get it to fit, but for the most part it went on without any issues which is nice. I bought an 85mm MAF and new FTP lid however the car won't idle with the new MAF, so I swapped back to the stock maf and SLP lid and tightened the clamp down so the silicone coupler is snug. Miraculously the throttle body only needed a 1/4 turn of the set screw to get it to start and idle properly. I have the racetronix 255 fuel pump and hotwire kit just have to put it in, haven't decided if I'm going to tackle it myself or just have the shop put it in who is eventually going to tune it. Unfortunately there's zero instructions that came with the fuel pump and hotwire kit which kind of baffles me considering I bought it directly from racetronix. So if anyone has and good write ups or actual instructions, post them up!
I saw and heard your car last night at Mt. Prospect - very nice, very healthy! I actually saw it parked down by the entrance when I pulled in, but nobody was around it. I walked back down after I parked, most folks had cleared out by then but I still couldn't find you anywhere in the lot. I was down near the exit when you left, but I was traveling in disguise with my new-to-me '74 Cutlass rather than the Nova or Camaro. I was parked next to a silver '79 Malibu with a big cowl hood and drag lites (Steve). There was another red '74 Cutlass almost identical to mine parked directly across from me, but that one has a white top and interior (mine has red interior and a black top). The Corvette you left with also sounded fantastic.

I've been so busy getting it caught up on maintenance type stuff that I haven't really cleaned it up or taken good photos yet, but here are a couple from when I picked it up two weeks ago:
^^^ Oh man!! That is really sweet!! I forgot how cool those wheels are. Thanks for posting these in the meantime.
Thank you sir! It's not 'perfect', but a very nice driver. The wheels are a great style, I just wish they were the 15" version for increased tire selection.
