Default Road trip!

Last week I took the TA to Durango, CO from my home near Phoenix.
I was happy to get 22.8 mpg on the climb to Flagstaff, AZ. Best mpg was 26.1 between Flag and Durango, with about 50% use of AC. Love the LS1 engine!
Here are some pics from US 491, on the Navajo nation in NM:

Had to take one of the car at my friend's new cabin. The car worked fine at 10k ft. altitude on side trip to Ouray, CO.

Very nice!! I always enjoy seeing white 'vert tops. I congratulate you for somehow keeping it clean. I know how tough taupe (tan) is, so white must be a real challenge.
Your mpg sounds about like ours during trips. Please post more photos when you travel, especially along Route 66 since you are so close. The section with Oatman (with the wild donkeys) to Sitgreaves Pass and the old service station in Cool Springs is one of our favorite sections in AZ. We have some great photos but it's in our GT/CS and probably wouldn't be too appreciated here.

I'd like to see great photos no matter what vehicle got you there. We Americans are so lucky to have so many beautiful places, like the San Juan National Forest (cabin site), which I'd never heard of.
We hiked about an hour up to this vista, looking over US 550 and Electra Lake.

US 491 and the area around Shiprock is so weird, geologically. The land is so flat, and out of nowhere these big rock formations rise sporadically. And you can absolutely haul *** out there! (Not officially condoning speeding) ;-)
