Been really focused onnthe 2nd gen lately...... but I've been toying with a little sheet metal project. Made a few templates just need to source some decent sheet metal.

Working on some close out panels, I'm pretty happy with this. The edges need to be softened up and corners rounded. Gonna have to open up the overflow tank lid pass through.
Didnt come up with this idea, saw it on here a few years ago really liked how it connects the wheel well and core support.

I've been derailed for about back week. Stomach bug hit the household..... I was the last to get it and hit me the worst.....

So I'd started some stuff but didn't get to finish or post...

Finally converted the tail lights to LED, got some nice pedal covers, and made a bit more progress on the closeout panels.

Talk about lucky!

I pulled it out to wash it yesterday and noticed smoke coming out of the back corner driver side of the hood. In hind site it did this the last time but I noticed it after the wash and I thought it was steam.

Nope pressure regulator was leaking badly on to valve cover and the headers. a steady stream. I was gonna drive it to cars and coffee!

I got on an ordered a rebuild kit I'm sure the diaphragm just dry rotted, but man that could have been bad!!!

Been a bit ..... I've been under the 71 camaro for the past few months. Doesn't mean I don't have plans though

I got some longer studs to install and spacer so I can get some wheels mounted 18x10 in the front 18x11 in the back. I've wanted a set of these for a long time! Finally got a set, hoping together these mounted this week!

Alright before I get too far into this I need some advice.

I got the long stud kit from arp (3.25") and im thinking its a bit overkill, so the lugnut I put on the long stud isn't big enough to seat the rim. So I'll need longer lugnuts to use these studs atleast on the rears. Though even on the stock stud they stick out a tad more than they do on the fronts? So at best case the lugnuts are gonna stand quite proud of the wheel. Taller lug nuts may stick out a tad more also depending on what sizes are available I need about .2 inches to fully seat onto the rim.

Which sucks cause it was a gigantic PITA to get these.

That's a tough one. For me, the extra long lug nuts would bother me to no end. Will anyone notice though if you don't point it out? Probably not, and I didn't bust my knuckles installing them either, but I would definitely be ordering shorter studs. Need to do this on my 9", so thanks for the reminder

Yeah it's gonna bother me, but the 2.5 inches aren't long enough either. I think I'm gonna have to cut these down.....
