Default Alternator Exciter Wire
The 1994 Firebird V6 alternator exciter wire, does it run into the computer or does it go to the "not charging" dash idiot light? I removed the computer, running a carbureted 455 Buick.

It comes from the PCM. You would need to purchase a new alternator or convert the alternator to be "self exciting". If you google "self exciting alternator conversion", you should get info on how to do this.
