These are Hoosier DR2 295/55/15. Wheel is 5.5bs 27mm offset. Factory width rear. 89 firebird. What you think? Cut down the rear width or adjust the backspace some with a different wheel?

 

When you say "Cut down the rear width..........", are you referring to narrowing the rear axle? If so, it will be immensely less expensive to get wheels with a different offset. Besides, you don't want to find out that the tires rub on the inside AFTER you've narrowed the rear axle.
