I’ve had my car since 2002, it’s a 2001 Ws6 with 50k Miles.
I was having buld, turning signal, socket issues etc etc. I just replaced both with a new housing and new bulbs.
Everything is new, but now on the passenger side DRL is brighter and both filaments are on. The drivers side is fine.
now when I hit the left or right turn signal it blinks fast and slow.
So everything is new and now I just replaced it with a new flasher and the left turn signal stays on and the right DRL stays on with both filaments ON and gets too damn hot. What can this be?
Ok I’ve noticed that when the key is fwd in accessory and the lights off turn signals are ok. But as soon as I turn the running lights on the left turn signal stays lit and if I turn the left signal on it works fine and blinks normal but when it’s not activated it stays lit.

You have a wiring problem. It sounds like your running lights are cross wired to the turn signals. This can happen from a bad socket or bulb (unlikely, but it can happen) or a straight up wiring problem. Was this happening before you changed the sockets?
The problem is probably at your passenger front as the only time both filaments should be lit is when the turn signals are flashing AND the running lights are on.

This is another indication that the turn signal circuit is cross wired to the running lights. (both filaments)

The thermal flasher will do this when there is a different power draw. (This is probably the difference between one filaments and two.)

What do you mean by "stays lit"? The forward lights are always lit (either for the running lights or the DRL). If you have a forward light that is ever not lit, that would be an issue.
