As cool as the car is, and nice looking as the Wheels are, at $300K I would expect custom center caps on the wheels to finish it off... Just seems to me that it would have finished the car... But to simply leave the "Forgeline" logo on the wheels is kind of like getting almost to the climax in the movie and the film breaks.
Nice car, but I'm curious how the $300k breaks out among the various vehicle systems (engine, transmission, suspension, etc). What does the interior look like (edit; not good. Cheaped out with one of those generic LCD screens)? I just don't see $300k there. Some sucker with more money than brains will buy it.
For that amount I would have liked to see more customizations under the hood. I haven't seen pic of the interior yet but I'm with others, I don't see where the $300k went.
For $300k I would expect more "flair" on this one. Hood and tail have great decals, why not the sails and front fenders? I would prefer a red interior to match the hood and tail. Its nice for sure, enough horse power to keep people in trouble but... It's not my cup of tea.
I love 2nd gen T/As, had a '76 455-4sp back in the day. However, the '79-'81s were my least favorite due to that plastic nose. Like others mentioned above, I just don't see where $300K was spent on this car, even if all the work was farmed-out. I'd at least expect better fitment between the nose and fender as can be plainly seen in the photo above. But at least a weak 4.9 Turbo car was turned into something decent.
I have to agree, the first thing that jumps out at me is the poor fitment of the front clip-hood-fender arrangement. At $300k, I'd expect perfection in terms of body panel fitment.
Most of this is a matter of taste/preference in terms of styling and modifications, but quality/content is more of an objective matter and I just don't see $300k in value here. I think someone was gouged on this build.
My thinking is if you spend $300,000 on a build, when you tell people the price the desired reaction should be, "I'm not surprised,' not "where did you spend the money?"

$300k ... There is a big profit margin in there. I think the car looks good, but not worth $300K. I'd spend the money on multiple nicer cars... used Ason Martin, used R8, used Viper .. all cars that even used look/feel showroom new (because their owners barely drive them and keep them fresh) and I'd have money left over. There might even still be enough left over for a good condition 1981 Trans Am with LS1 Swap (depending on year/model of the other cars and condition of the Trans AM).
