I got a kick out of some of the comments at the bottom of the article, lots of ignorant "enthusiasts" who seem to think this car was slow, and/or comparable in performance to the TPI 5.0/5.7 cars of the day. How amusing. Guess they don't realize these '89 TTAs were running times pretty comparable to stock LS1 cars, but they were doing it nearly a decade before LS1s even debuted in the F-body.
Yes, I fully understand that a mid-13 second car doesn't even register as a "performance" vehicle by today's standards, but this was a stock car in the 1989 model year. At that point (meaning '89), we hadn't seen anything short of super cars running times that fast for at least 15 years (going back to Super Duty 455s). This was a special car, period.

reminds me of a (i think) 89 gta t/a i bought in high school with rotten floor pans and a blown up engine for 400 bucks, wish i would have kept it.
