Ah yes, excellent. Kind of what I had pictured in my head with how I wanted to modify the brackets. I normally make my own stuff, so that's a great visual for the mod. Thanks!

I used to be in that same mindset however as time and years move on I’ve learned just how valuable that time really is. I’ll still make things as needed but I avoid doing so if possible.
Been awhile since I've posted. Drove the TA a bit in the Fall last year, but with the worn-out rear and still fighting with the tune, didn't use it nearly as much as I wanted. Then picked up a couple more rides, cause you know it's an addiction- see below. Surprised my wife with a '70 Vette for Christmas. Bone stock but had been sitting in my buddy's garage since 1999. 79k on it and needs tires, brakes, hoses, belts, etc. 1979 'Bu that came as a package deal with the Vette. Ford 9" 4:10, Muncie M-22, 383 6-71 blower. Had enough sense to give my brother a good deal on this one. Seriously don't have the time for it. Sat next to the Vette in the same garage since 1999. Cause I need another TA right?! 2000 WS6 M6. Actually picked this up because it has multiple goodies on it that I will swap over to mine (Moser 9", suspension parts, wheels, etc.), then this will go back to stock and be up for sale later this summer. And for the final project. Need to finish the seats and interior of this beauty to really enjoy it. All mechanical has been replaced/refurbished. Gotta push the upholstery guy. Original paint, dings and dents which I feel like I'll leave. Cause that tells it's story.
Yessir, that's the plan at the moment. Swap over items from the new one and bring it back to stock. Just picked it up over the weekend from Maine. It's in about the condition I was expecting. Rims/tires are new. some paint is faded and peeling, but overall the car is in good shape. Interior is surprisingly nice.
So, after finally getting the black car up in the air to start swapping over the good stuff to mine, I found some serious damage to the floors and frame rails. Damage I have never seen before, like Smokey and the Bandit free air launches into a rock quarry. I'll be parting this out once I swap over everything I want from it.
Items available in Saratoga Springs area Upstate NY-
- WS6 hood. Was clearanced for a blower at some point. Idiots...
- front bumper cover (small tear under the left blinker area on the bottom)
- rear bumper cover
- t-tops
- rear hatch
- most of the interior
- head lights, tail lights, etc.
- undecided if I will keep the T-56 as a backup
- L33 or LM4 engine. Leaning towards it being an L33 with how it sounds for compression. Know nothing about the engine other than it's an aluminum 5.3l with a decent cam.
- and other stuff.
I'll post this up in the for sale section too
Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it! I see it has an ABS delete setup, I'd be interested in that if you're up for removing it and it's not a hack job. It looks decent from the pic, but hard to see for sure.
I'll snap a better pic for you. I have $5k into it the way it sits, but with the Moser 9"/35-spline axles, UMI suspension, wheels, monster clutch, Denny's driveshaft and other goodies I'm more than pleased with the cost. Especially since I can part it out for a decent buck.
My wings in good shape, but I bought the hatch from a junkyard and paid for a cheap repair back innthe early 2000s and it's starting to show hatch skin is cracked on the lip
That blows. It seems to me that the fiberglass on these is really poor quality. My '70 Corvette is much better, and those were terrible right from the factory. But at least they didn't just fall apart. Any repairs on the wing or hatch never seems to last on the F-body.
Yeah it's why I've been hoping to find one I can swap and not repair. I could fix this one it's not that bad, but for what it will cost me in materials and my time I could likely find a good replacement.
Tune is good enough now to beat her a little bit. Did a little AutoX on an old go-cart track this morning. Car ran well and didn’t break! Other than the new KYB rear shock that lost its cookies…
swapped Moser 9”, BMR springs.
