Default Trans Am fixed-headlights conversion?

Is there a headlight conversion for Trans Ams? I know that they have one for the Vettes. I just don't like the flip up lights...

I was searching for the same thing and all I found were these at
http://www.breathlessperformance.com/
I don't like them, and I really don't like them for the price.

As far as I know, that's the only kit out there to get rid of the popups. In my opinion, they're too expensive, and kind of ugly, but they save 40 pounds, and get rid of the popups.

SLP was going to try the exposed headlights in '98 I believe....whatever year there wasn't a Firehawk for sale to the general public. If I remember correctly, they were having trouble getting them D.O.T. approved.

I've seen a kit on a TA at a local shop and thought it looked pretty good. I'm not sure what kit it was though.

I'd have to see pictures. Without some serious changes to the front end I don't see how it could look good. The entire nose peice was designed for pop-ups. The angle of the headlight areas just don't work for a decent standard style light.

If you hate pop-ups go Camaro.

Are you sure that it could really save 40lbs?

From what I understand, they save 40 pounds, but not actually having them, I can't say for certain.

Here's a picture from their site of what the kit looks like, I think it's pretty ugly.

I can't really see how they look, but if they save 40lbs they should sell like Hot Cakes.
K-member and A-arms together only saves 42lbs and the head lights are feather forward.
Someone needs to design a set that has the right looks and weight saving, they could make some money.

I think it only looks ugly due to the elcheapo looking covers.

That's looks like Some people may like it. But I think it doesn't look good at all. Plus the idea of pop-ups is so you don't have to look at ugly headlights. At night when you need them you can't even really see them that well. In the case of the Firebird and Trans-AM's it actually looks meaner and more agressive with the popups built the way they are.
