Default 3rd Gen Headlights question

i got a 1991 firebird and i dont really like the stock headlights. i like the flip-ups but i really ahte how the bezel makes the beam unit so small. id like to know if i can put a bigger light or any different light instead of my lights. even if i can get c4 corvette lights in or even change the whole flip up assembly. just something bigger. also i kind of want to avoid fabricating something

any help would be awesome.

82-90 Firebirds used a bigger lamp (6054s), but you have to change your whole bumper and bezels over to the bigger lamp. You are actually doing the opposite of what most ppl do, because most people prefer a smaller lamp over the larger lamp. I think the 6054s make thirdgens look like they have truck lamps...

damn! one year off! i dunno i think the thick bezel makes it look kinda whimpy . its like their too small and too far apart. i like the distance, but i thin they need to be bigger.

any sites you can direct me to?

Once www.thirdgen.org comes back online, they're a great source for info. You might even find people who'd trade the 82-90 stuff for your 91-92 stuff. I've been on there for years, and well now, I just lurk on the forums, since I don't have a 3rdgen anymore...

you could always do what Red Raif did, but that is the ultimate in opposite way you're going, w/4 really small headlights. one of the car's sites: http://www.cardomain.com/id/redraifexterior

i actually kinda like what he did with the headlights....i cant say so much as the whole entire car itself, but i do like the headlights.

basically i'm just looking for some kind of different headlights for the 3rd gen. if anyone could find pictures or links to 3rd gen custom headlight jobs, that would be awesome

it just seems as though his headlights dont give off THAT much light. i live on alot of dark back country roads, and that doesnt seem like enough lighting, but then again it may be alright because he has the wicked bright lights
