Question possible to put 98 trans am front onto 94 trans am, and LS1 engine?

I have a 94 Trans-Am and I was wondering a few things. . .maybe some of you could help me.

Is it possible to convert/interchange the front to make it look like a 98+ Trans-Am? The 2 fenders, front cap, hood, and headlights. If it is possible, how hard of a job would it be? Also, I know the mid/rear of the 93-97 and the 98-02 look the same. . .but are they identical?

My second question is, would my automatic LT1 transmission fit on a LS1? I'm just getting into the cars, so sorry for the stupid question, but I want to make sure before I make plans for my money.

I would like to convert the front and engine and MAKE my 94 Trans-Am into a WS6 or such. . .

Please help this noob. . .

I saw an issue of GM High tech performance or camaro performance or one of those and they had a 96 Camaro with 99 Camaro front end. Should just bolt on in place of the front clip/hood/fenders. BUT that was with a camaro and the only reason he did it was because the front end was severly damaged and needed to be replaced so he replaced it with the ls1 front end. With the flip up headlights being so different from the early 4th gen to the late 4th gen it may be a difficult (read expensive) process.

I think in the long run you would be better off just upgrading to the ls1 car instead of spending the money to fabricate your lt1 into and ls1...I think it would be much cheaper, that and LS1 cars are coming down in price, I got mine in October with 47K on the ODO for 14,500.

Good Luck

For front clip swapping, there may be additional issues on the T/A due to the hidden headlights.

I'll give you a TTT to see if anyone knows whether LS1 and LT1 bellhousing bolt patterns are the same.

The rear bumper skin and tail lights on the LS1 'birds differ from the LT1 cars.

Why not just sale your LT1 and get a 98+ LS1. Hell, if your planning on switching your motor as well as the whole front end...probably cost about the same, just less work!
