ok so in town there is a 99 trans am for sale for 14k it has a ls1 crate with a small ddk cam and a 6 spd from a doner car. It also has a moser rear with 3.73. So my question is did the 99s come with ls1's and a 6 speed, and if he did a conversion is there any areas i should look at? I really wanted a ws6 but these price is a lot lower than the prices i was looking at, but i need a relable car. Sorry bout all the noob questions. thanx in advace for any advice

 

Yes the 99's came with an LS1. 98-02 are LS1 cars

 

My advice is unless you know the guy personally or he has recipts for all the work done I would stay away. You could find a stock or near stock TA or formula for lower, just gotta be patient.
