Default How many miles do you get per gallon?

Im just really curious...ok...not including the occasional romp on it and smoke someone...but just say you are standard driving. (I have an 02 M6 Ws6)Calis highest is 91 octane...I dont get very good gas milage. If Im lucky 10 mpg. And I dont hot rod it all the time.I think they are doing something to the gas in CA. What is everyone else getting?

No mods...that is why im really curious why its sucking so much. Like I can fill it up from dry empty and I barely get 150 miles on a full tank. Whats up with that?

You don't have a leak in the fuel tank do you, I've heard of people getting 2-6 mpg less in CA, but that low.................... I'd be looking for a problem of some kind, O2 sensors, leaks, something

I get about 250 nile to the tank on the highway at 70-75.....Now get to about 100mph I actually get better gas milage...More along the line of 325 or more, just depends how long I can stay at that speed...

As for actual miles per gallon, I could really care less :burnout:...It's just to dayum fun to drive!!:driving:

If you want good gas mileage here is what I do. Drive 70 or 75 on the expressway and watch what the tach is when cruise is set. With my A4 it is 1800 rpm. Now, when you are stopped and have to accelerate, don't lead foot it... Slowly accelerate and at the most let the tach hit about 2000 rpms. General driving I get about 18-19 with that technique it is 22-23. It is all in how you accelerate.

Highway miles with crappy CA gas, best I've gotten was 24 mpg, A4, 3.23. Worst I've ever done in the city was 16.

As of late best has been 30.5 averaging 78 mph. With the car loaded with 200 lbs of gear, a heavy co-driver(250ish) the car averaged 26.8mpg but averaging 84mph, While I raced the car in the 04' One Lap of America, which had me cover 7600 miles in just 10 days. A computer tune after getting back from racing worked wonders with the car. When on track with the car works out to 4.8mpg. Later John

I get 17 to 18 mpg city driving, And last year when I bought it and drove it from philly I got around 30 mpg highway. The 30 mpg was before the h/c swap, but the 17-18 is after the swap and with spirited driving

See I just had a full tank and ran it to empty and when I filled it up again I only got 151 miles out of the last tank. My friends say its my lead foot not a leak. I dont know...still some of you are romping it and getting better milage. WTF??? CA does something to their gas....cause that is just ridiculous.

Do you guys have Shell "v-power" premium gas?
Whens the last time you checked your filters?
Also, think about the elevation differences, do you know your elevation?
BTW what RPM do you switch up at under 'normal' driving?
