96-97 is there a difference?

My brother owns a 96 formula and he says that 96 and 97's are completely different. Which i say there are the same because the first year of the new body style's are 98 and up. He says he would buy the breathless light kit for his car but it says for 97-02, so he won't buy cause it doesn't say 96.

The 96 and 97 should be the same cars minus any apperance mods. The 98 is the start of the "revised" look.

Thank GOD for that revised look!!!!!! i cant stand those front ends and hoods plus no honeycomb lights ?!! come onnn now thats the true back lights of the bird

they updated the interiors in 97. So when talking interior it's 97+, everywhere else 96 and 97 should be the same.

Lol, man thats a lil harsh, w/out the early 4th gen birds ours wouldnt look how they do, and they dont look bad, just not as aggressive, and there are some sick ones out there, i dont mean to point you out, sorry
