Aftermarket or original ram air hood?

OEM hood for fit/finish.
Some after market hoods are "thinner" shells then others making them lighter, or you could get a pin-in hood and really drop some weight.
My Suncoast Creations hood felt almost as heavy as my stock T/A hood, and it has a few imperfections.
I know a guy that bought a Harwood SS hood (bolt-on) that was really really light. The damn hood started to flex bad when he goes to shut it. And the part numbers are the same on hood shocks (on my SS vs his car) So the shocks were not any stiffer then mine, just my OEM SS hood probably weighed twice as much as his Harwood SS hood.

You get a little more height out of the aftermarket hood. If you cut out the back of the hood near the windshield could help cool the engine. My ran a little cooler with my aftermarket hood than the GM hood. My aftermarket hood also fit better and was cheaper.
