Some guys used the WS7 badge when they customized a non-WS6 car with similar mods. Rather than being a WS6 copy, they called them WS7's.

I thought there was an aftermarked company that made a WS7 conversion, but have not had any luck finding any info.

When some people add a WS6 style hood and mod the cars they call it a WS7. The WS6 only has a slightly better suspension, more free flowing exhaust and the raised lower lid w/ram air/hood. The WS6 isnt that much of a performance gain over a regular trans am or formula so just about any amount of mods makes it better in performance aover a WS6. The motors are basically the same so its not quite the same as putting GT badges on a V6 rustang.

A WS7 is basically a fake WS6 it really doesnt or will ever compare to a Yenko.

All it is the hood. My friend bought a ram air hood for his ws6 but the difference between the hood's are that the back of the hood has vent's to let out hot air. There is also a WS9 hood that is ram air but way more bulkey. So to answer your question is that it is the hood and the badge come's with the new hood.

You can get the badge all over. Badges mean nothing. This thread is turning into something importers do? By the way I have one of the most rare of Trare Trans Am's its a Trans Am Firehawk7 (Fake) Type R, VTec . I wonder what it will be worth in 30 years?

so then its just the hood...??? ok well then..i removed my old hood and put a scc true ram air hood, g2 open lid, 75 shot, and z06 rims on the car....does that make my WS-# higher??? lol to me it doesnt seem that the ws7 or ws9 or ws1000 is anything better then the ws6...its all just different (unofficial) performance package stuff...preferance wise! it looks to me that it cheapens the cars appearence! no offens to anyone...

McNamara pontiac in florida did buy some with the "ws7" hoods installed by some third party back in 1998, during the ram air hood shortage.

they're not yenko cars, just appearance package done by a dealer, or added by the owner, who does not want a "poser" car. (no offence, just my $0.02)
