What kind of numbers did the Pontiac 400 (the 6.6L) put down?

It varied greatly depending on the year and which 400 it was.

I'll format the numbers like this:
Year- RPO Code- HP/TQ

Gross rating years:
1967- W66- 325/410; L67- 335/410
1968- W66- 330/430; L74- 335/430; L67- 340/430
1969- W66- 330/430; L74- 335/430; L67- 345/430
1970- L65- 265/397; L78- 330/430; L74- 335/430; LS1- 345/430
1971- L65- 265/400; L78- 300/400

Net rating years:
1972- L65- 175/310; L78- 250/325
1973- L65 (Vin code R)- 170/320; L65 (Vin code P)- 185/320; L78- 230/325

1975- L78- 185/310

for the W72 package engine, in 77 put down 200hp, and 325 torque
in 78 it went up to 220 hp and lost 5 in torque, down to 320
and the few that were left that went into the 79s had the same ratings as the 78

wow thats amazing what oil will do to HP ratings! I would love to have one of the old Bandit Trans Ams with an LSX motor in it today!
