78 firebird formula frame ties?
Does anyone know if stress bars are available for this model and are they easy to put on, if they are available? are they that good as claimed on the 90's firebirds?

By stress bars I assume you mean subframe connectors>? A number of companies make them. I would recommend getting a set from Alston Chassis, bolt in type. They have enough meat in them that you can weld them in later.
If you mean some sort of bracing under the hood, yes that was also available via VSE in California years ago. They have since gone out of business. I have a set I may want to part with. E-mail me if you are interested.
The bars atach at the cowl and inner fender bolt then on one of the a-arm bolts. I can't use it on my car because I have tall valve covers to clear my valvetrain.

Thanks everyone. My mistake on the definition. It was the sub-frame connectors I was looking for. Year one wanted too much money and the shipping costs to Canada plus customs and excise taxes would drive the price up to rediculous.
Mike, I sent you an email in response. Thanks guys.
