Wow, Keepin it. So I was going through the idea of selling my car, again, and I decided to look up how much I could get for it. $6,200 with the miles thats on it (136k). There is no way I'm selling it now, I have at least 2/3's that in mods, not to mention the money I've paid for maintenance, tires, fixing stuff. I dont even wanna think about it. So, it looks like I'm just going to pour a whole lot more into it over the next year. The 'power' phase should be done by the end of next month, would have been now if I didnt get frauded on the shortblock I bought. Then over the next year I'll be working on finishing up the suspension/fuel system, repaint (I think I'm gonna stick w/the base model hood, its growing on me!), new wheels, and re-cover the interior. Sorry for the useless post, but if I'm gonna keep it, it may aswell floor me everytime I drive it and look at it!

Yeah you might as well always have it for a nice weekend ride at the very least, even if it is retired from daily use. That's a hot ride. 
10 -15 years from now you'll rarely see one. You'll be glad you kept it. Just cover or put it in storage when you retire it in the next couple of years.

Not to mention that according to Bob Lutz in a recent issue of Autoweek, they are coming out with a new GTO in 2008 but once again slamming the door on the Firebird. So we may very well have the last examples of the marque and potential collector's items.

Thanks guys! I think I'll have it at least through graduate school as a DD so I'm just going to keep modding it and store it after I get a new car. Its paid for so its not hurting me to keep it, I consider myself lucky to have a car I like so much so early, so the more I think about it the more you couldn't take this car from me! Deep Blue, where'd you hear that, I thought the GTO was scrapped after 06, and there was mention of a 2 - door RWD V8 low cost car for Pontiac in the future.
