I remember thinking those salad shooters were ugly as hell, now they've kinda grown on me. I still wouldn't take them over the WS6 5-spokers. But at least they look better than those 16" 3-spokers that were on the '93-94 cars, those are still ugly!

Factory blue anodized 1999 anniversary rims

It's so hard to duplicate that and the General isn't makin' 'em anymore.

I wish I could store about 10 mint conditions sets. I love those rims. Hell I'd like to own a '99 ann car just for the rims!!!

blue 17x9 WS6 wheels (from 99 30th Anniv TA) = 9593624

Some places apparently are still selling remaining stock. So Firehawk608, you might want to try this, here's your chance

Just an FYI on the wheels.. I think there may indeed be a limited number left b/c the company that was making them no longer has a contract with GM.. no contract means no more production. There are still wheels available ...

They aren't anodized.

They're regular WS6 wheels painted with a blue tinted clear coat. Easy as hell to duplicate.

I was going to do a similar treatment to my red Raptor T/A, and did all the research to recreate it... but when we painted the wheels with a red tinted clearcoat they came out looking pink... so I scrapped the idea.

Its true they arent anodized, do you know how much that costs?? Its freaking expensive, no way GM beancounters would let that slide.

I love those blue rims, I remember the first time I saw a 30th WS6, I was like
But yea those 3 spoke rims look like crap, but they are rare. If I were you id box them up and put them in a safe corner of the garage or somewhere where the aluminum wont corrode.

I have Camaro salad shooters on a 94 Green/Purple Firebird. (It came that way...but hey it's an $800 rebuild car!) I'd post pics, but they'd probably boot me from the site for posting obscene pictures.

Thought you were keeping them? I wouldn't mind having them, but I don't have any money to spend on rims I think I'm just going to paint my 93 Salad Shooters black, they're so ugly I want the 5 spoke, any of them :\

another way to duplicate the 30th wheels:

You can strip the clear off the ws6 wheels and buy some transparent blue spray paint from a hobby store(it's used to paint glass and stuff) and put a good automotive poly clear on it or a clear powdercoat on the wheels.

I was going to do this on my wheels only gold to replicate a hurst firebird, but decided to go a different direction...

I'd trade some Black American Racing Rebels 17X9 for those wheels in a heartbeat. If I could have found those to begin with I would have bought them instead of the rebels.
