Possible?

Is it possible to put paddle shifters on a TA? I saw some on a car at a local car show, and thought if you could do it to TA. Anybody done it?

Possble? Yes... but think like an engineer on the parts list and steps needed to make it happen. I'm talking about a "true" paddle shifter directly in touch with the shifting. I have no idea what you saw in a show, but I doubt it's like the Ferrari or new 'Vette C6 system.

No funkin' way would I wish that task on anyone, no matter how much I was paying them.

I now have a headache after writing some of it down here. I just deleted it becasue I didn't feel like going over the rest. I ran out of steam writing a book of the many different options/variables.

Its crazy.. cuz I was just thinking about that idea this weekend. and Found a Thread about it haha.. I want that in my WS6 so bad.. Im tired of shifting and I love the paddle shifters..

So the New C6 has that system ? .. you could probaly get it to work in the f-body right? with some dough of coarse..

I can imagine this kind of set up only on the highest level of projects. The rest of th car under it must really be worth this kind of blessing, because it would be an achievment in itself. You might as well run the engineering department @ GM.

The C6 paddle shift system doesnt compare to anything like the F1 gearboxes in the ferraris. The C6 is delayed and after driving it in paddle shift mode id rather leave in in D and just let it be the automatic that it is. If you were looking to convert your car into a paddle shift car and got the results of the C6 i would be very dissapointed. The only decent thing is the down shift on the vette.
