Default 98 Ta

hey I found a 98 TA with t tops and loaded with options he is asking 9995 firm for it and it has 127k miles on it and the only mods he said that were done to it was a magnaflow exhaust and a ls6 intake and a K&N filter and the trans was rebuilt like 10k ago is this something worth looking further into or should I stay away. Any input will help me
Thanks

Seems pretty high for a 98 with a ton of miles, highway being no excuse since it has been modded. A guy on my other board picked up a 98 M6 Formula with 46,500 miles for $7500. Screamin' deal. I'd say work off that number and try to meet in the middle if he doesn't budge much.

I know I wouldn't pay that much for that car.

I think he's asking way to much for having that many miles. If it had something like 80K it would be a much better deal.

Kelly Blue Book value for the car is $7160 in excellent condition, I wouldn't pay anymore than about $7500 for it, tops.

I picked up my 2000 Formula M6 with just over 70k miles on it for 9500. Only thing it had done to it was Flowmaster catback.

$9995 seems way high for a '98 with that many miles.

I wouldn't buy a car with that kinda mileage and mods, but that's just me.

I'd have to agree. It might be a different story if you knew the car and how it was taken care of....for example, my 'bird has 124,000 miles on it but it's really not an issue to me since I'm the original owner.

A buddy just bought an auto 160k mile T/A in very good shape for $3995! You'd swear it has 70k on it.

well here is the update I got a good lead on a base model firebird with t tops that is real close to me and so the deal is he is most likely going to take my truck and 1500 cash for it. It is a m5 v6 and t tops and only 75000 miles so as soon as I get a little better so I can drive a manual I will get it I am excited and the cool thing is it is a manual like my 78 and green like my 78. I like the mileage it get too
