They drove a Maseratti for awhile, maybe an entire season.

As to the movie, at least with the original series producer/writer on board there will be a chance of KITT having a part. 3rd gen Trans Am needs to play a large part, don't care is a LS1 is in it, had nothing to do with the original series.

The Voice of K.I.T.T has to be "William Daniels"!!!!

The show back in the 80's was cool. Watching the DVD series though, they made so many mistakes during filming. If I was the Ex.Producer, some of those folks would have been fired, starting with the editors. I was surprised that no one noticed them in the editing dept.

Knight Rider 2000 was a bomb! The plot was boring, the action minimal at best. K.I.T.T in a classic. No Bonny if I remeber right. Devin Dies.

For a remake, nothing other then a Trans AM would work. K.I.T.T belongs in a Trans Am. Knowing Hollywood, this remake will probably bomb just like KR2K with cheesy scripts and lack luster acting.

Im sorry to say, But the Old Knight Rider (even with all those Mistakes and cheesy acting) will always be "the Original" and Topping that will be a feat maybe even Hollywood Can't top.

The old TV show is fun. I'd like to see a new movie.

BTW, there's a new channel on digital cable called 'Sleuth' that was started at the beginning of January 2006, and from the start they've been showing all the Knight Rider episodes from first to last, one each weekday, three times a day (7am, 11am, and 3pm, in Central time). They just finished going through all of them last Friday, and this Monday they started over from #1 again.

Only thing was they said appeal to Fast and Furious age, well part one was ok with that supercharged.... anyways we'll see how it goes

They are making a Knight Rider movie?!?!? First I've heard of it.

But seriously, I'll be the first one to boycott this movie if they pull any bullshit. If it is not KITT in a Firebird, the **** will hit the fan. Team Knight Rider was a disgrace to the "Knight Rider" name, all those damn Ford cars.

more news from yahoo on this..........

http://news.yahoo.com/s/eo/20060509/en_movies_eo/18986

BTW, it should be david Hasselhoff and William Daniels!!! Who else can pull it off? If the Producers want success, their going to have to start with the original cast.

I will have a hard time adjusting to a new voice as K.I.T.T!!!!

Did you know that the Daytona Spyder in Miami vice was a dressed up Vette, and Ferrari head honcos liked the show using their car (or at least a replica) that they sent them the brand new white Testarossa. It was used for hero duty and they built a stunt replica so they wouldnt trash the real Ferrari

The "stunt" Testarossa started life as a Ford-powered Pantera.

I thought I read the real Testarossa was originally black and they painted it white to show better on film. Seems far fetched but I think they switched to the Testarossa in 1986, only 2 years after its premier in Paris so there not have been that many available yet.
