Is the auto firebird as slow as I think it is?
Back in high school, my friend got a '95 Formula A4. It ran a 13.9 spinning through 1st gear. It was the fastest car I had been in at the time and it was so fun to ride in

a4's are no slouch
my car with original plugs and wires and **** managed a 14.4@96mph
i bet now it could run low 14s or even high 13s
and an A4 firebird formula is lighter than an A4 trans am

The difference is minimal. The M6 will be better from a roll obviously but the A4 tends to be better from a dig because its a perfect shift everytime and its more consistent at the drag strip. The A4 is no slouch by any means and you will love the Formula if you buy it.

Check the top 15 fastest N/A cars. Even assuming you'll never go Nitro or F/I you'll still be looking at some pretty good times at the strip if you go full out H/C, Headers, blah blah blah...
I have my mods in my sig, and my A4 is plenty fast for me. I have no clue how to launch the bitch yet because I've only had it for a week, but I'll get the hang of it. My next mods are for sure though going to be a Stall and Transgo Shift Kit. Anyhow, take these things with a grain of salt. Me personally, after driving my T/A for a week, then sitting back in my old car (87 T-bird), everything in that car felt wrong, and I loved the hell outta that car.
As for the Stang comment, keep in mind, this was on a 94... which was before the 4.6 was actually a decent power making engine. So I'll believe him.
