Default Removing canopy

Does anyone know how to remove the canopy on a firebird / camaro? The area is just behind the t-tops and divides them from the rear hatch. Sometimes it's refered to as a sail panel. At any rate, I need to remove mine and I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I also need to know how to re-attach it, as I heard some sort of glue is used. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I am pretty sure that it will be ruined when you remove it and will have to be replaced with a new sail panel.

They use a bonded glue when those are glued on at the factory.

I'm not sure but there may be a how-to somewhere on this. Anyway, it involves a piano wire and a whole lot of patience. You have to cut through the glue with the wire.

Well there is steel bracing that runs up and over. It is skinned with fiberglass that is glued on very well. I pulled one apart and alot of the fiberglass came apart, ruining the fiberglass skin.
