Default TA and WS6 TA differences??

Hey I'm new here. I have a question that may be obvious but I can't find an answer.

What are the differences between a TA and a WS-6 TA. I know the hood and I believe it has a different exhaust, but are there any other differences.

The WS6 exhaust is worth ~15 hp over the stock setup.

Ive seen dynos of stock vs stock TA and WS6 and they are very similar...in fact Ive see TA putting more hp than WS6...The WS6 is an appearance package, the rest is marketing to justify a few thousand dollars more...

I usually don't question your posts as I know you know your stuff. But I have to disagree with that statement. I have seen numerous WS6 v. base TA dynos and the differences are marginal and in no way biased to the WS6 or base. I'd be very surprised if anybody saw a 15 HP increase going to a Hooker on an otherwise stock setup, let alone a WS6 muffler.

I put a WS6 takeoff exhaust on a bone stock Trans Am, and gained around .15 on my ETs at the track. Who gives a rats as about how one car dynos compared to another, I compared the same car with the two different exhausts. Best $99 I ever spent.

Most of the money you spend for the WS6 package is for the wheels and the hood.

See above. I could give a crap about the dyno, I did it to my own car. Hell, my Formula gained almost 15 horsepower from the stock setup on the dyno from just switching it to a Dynomax muffler.

So any other variables that day including traction, climate comditions etc are not taken into account to explain that ET?? just the exhaust....okay... Right....whatever floats your boat.

No need to get your panties in a twist. I just don't see a basically stock LS1, CATS and all gaining 15 RWHP and .15 on the ET PURELY because of a WS6 muffler, Magnaflows barely get, if even, that on a stock setup. Too many variables there. People run .15 slower or quicker all the time at the track with no change in setups, same on the dyno, people gain/lose on different pulls. Whatever pops your cork really.

No, the climate and track conditions were taken into account, and I based that figure on an average over many runs on several different nights, before and after, and accounting for the weather, and traction conditions.

My car was an A4/3.23, also. Very predictable E/Ts, too.. I cleaned up in the brackets with that car.

Your mileage may vary, but that's what I got out of the car... I couldn't do better than a 13.50 with it bone stock, I put the exhaust on the car with no other mods and I'm running 13.3's consistently... you explain it to me.

Mine is a WS6 clone. I have yet to see any real difference between a real WS6 and a stock T/A. I've driven both and the only thing I notice is the appearance.
