Default Low Trac

I've been through all the torque management feilds in the ECM; however I can't seem to disable Low Trac. My understanding is it's tied into the ignition circuit and activated on start-up / intergraded through the ABS. Any intel on how to disable this pest would be much appreciated.

I beleive it's more associated with the ABS system
My `98 M6 Formula has activated the light at times and it's usually while hard braking over rough or wet conditions.

Low Trac has to be disabled through the TCS. An easy way to disable it is to buy the "Reversal" TCS switch from SLP. It keeps the system shut off until you physically turn it back on with the TCS switch. The SLP part runs about $75. Turning off your TCS at each start up is cheaper and will turn off the LOW TRAC you see. TCS resets itself at every startup, The SLP kit shuts it off at every startup. If you need anymore explanation, PM me.

What if you don't have traction control but have low trac aka the "oh **** light"....cause my car didn't come with TCS....but I know for a fact the low trac light comes on....but I thought that was just an idication to the driver that you had Low Traction and nothing else....

Wherever I start to break the tires loose the Low Trac Light comes on and it feels like the timing is being retarded, engine responsiveness is nill. I just pulled out an A4 for the M6 and have been working with HPtuners in the torque management feilds...nothing. Sounds like SLP will get another $75.00....Unless someone has a work around idea. Thanks for all the feedback and support.

After reading this thread, I decided to go ahead and pull out that little black square where the TCS switch is located on. I found out that I had the SLP TCS reversal module but it doesn't work whenever I turn the car on. I still have to switch the TCS off manually. What could be causing this?

isnt the tourqe mngt system activating when you for example floor it from a stop light the tires up let off and floor it again that feeling you get of the accelerater pedal kicking back up at your foot not allowing you to completely depress the pedal all the way. i have that with the tcs off and can that not be turned off or can you get that with a dyno tune? kinda curious too

I'm curious to see the answer to this one. I have TCS and when I turn it off I can light them up without the Low Trac light coming on or the pedal being pushed.

The pedal falling to the floor with power loss is the TCS activating(when it is on and wheel spin is indicated), not the torque management. Torque management limits the amount of power makes it to the rearend (which I believe is set at 350hp and only on autos as well).

I did the a4 to m6 swap as well. I also used hptuners for my car. Did you reflash the computer so the car knows it is a 6spd now? If you need more help feel free to pm me.

Here is a link to the SLP part I was talking about that may fix what you are wanting done.

I've had the same problem with my TA which doesn't come with traction control but the low trac light turns on everytime I brake whether normally or hard. Turns out its the sensor located behind each front wheel!
