Im probibly not scoring many brownie points here but the 82 firebird is really dated. The 02 Thunder chickens are just that, Im not impressed with the newer overpriced T/A's
. (Im more of a 1st & 2nd Gen. firebird fan, I would take one of them over a newer one). I would have chosen the concept camaro as a 1st choice.(Like others have said) But the mean looking retro shelby is a good second... Those retro mustangs are some nice lookers, not to mention their sales increased with the new look.. Just wait and see the new retro camaros and challengers when they debute, if you can afford them they will be hot sellers.
For one to point out they are not going to watch a TV show because the star is a FORD, sounds very um whats the word?
As with everything I'll cast my vote on the show after it airs..
Peace!

Saw the show tonight, it was okay, Not totally awesome. I wish they showed more of the original kitt instead of a stripped TPI Trans am in the dark. All I can say though after watching ...FORD Advertisement!. and lets smash a GM vehicle.

I thought the movie was pretty well done for TV standards. They goofed up by showing the TPI. The 'birds used in the original series wouldn't of ever had TPI.

hahaha, how embarrassing - for ford that is... that mustang with the twin spoilers... that was pretty
lookin.
other than that though the car looks sweet. (never saw the original, so doesn't matter to me - although i wish it wasn't a ford... but yeah)

Have you seen the new Transformers movie? All GM products and the bad guy was a Ford product. I'd say that was Ford's way of returning the favor by having the Denali be the bad guy vehicle. At least the bad guys started out in a Ford ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

Yeah I saw that movie.
about the tpi I noticed that too, I guess that was the only way to make the engine look cooler than a normal TBI 305, or did those 82 t/a's have a electric carb? any way I really thought they show like taking the brain or whatever from the original kitt to the the new one..

The whole premise is the future, and technological advances the Old Kitt was old technology.. It would make sence (new voice/ne computer brain) I thought the car looked cool in both modes. I also like the way the retro-bodied mustangs look...
I hope the show takes off, it was far more entertaining than the older show. The older show like most of the era seem cheesey..

You're right.... you aren't making many(if any) points here.
Personally... I thought the show S-U-C-K-E-D!!!!!!!!
And a 3rd gen or 4th gen Firebird looks better than ANY Mustang EVER produced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This program could have been so much better. First they should have used a vette.
This seemed to be nothing more than a cheaply made wannabe Knight Rider.
Even the Hoff seemed to be just sorta of written in at the last minute.
Maybe it would have worked better if they would have called it something other than Knight Rider.
Funny.... the first Knight Rider series made me want to run out and buy a Trans Am.
This certainly didn't make me want to run out and buy a Mustang

Maybe because the Trans Am is a beautiful car.... the Mustang.... while not exactly ugly.... certainly isn't beautiful.
Again they should have used a vette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah having a new corvette, might have worked too. But they all look the same & are such a common sight, I cant stand the
front ends. But to each their own.. The Shelby 500kr with the hollywood efects worked quite nicely,
the cool idea that it could morf into an almost stock stang. Like in front of the casino was a neat touch.. If it just had to be a GM car they should have used the camaro or trans-am concept vehicles..

Off Topic, I drove my 72 mustang to work and parked it two spots over from a co-workers new corvette he had just got.. Some fire fighter came into the office and asked the corvette guy who owned the hot __ colored car outside?
He automaticly said he did, as his corvette was almost the same color. They asked if they could look at it? he said sure and went out to show off the car, he returned all ticked off because they wanted to look at the stang... It was priceless!!

I really dont care about GM vs Ford vs Mopar. I was picking at those who act like its GM or nothing. To answer your question. The new corvettes to me resemble the acura and several other simaller styled import vehicles.. Kinda tha way todays new American cars are starting to resemble the imports.. Another poster here pointed out the 02 T/A? The agressive one with the big nostriles on the hood.. Thats an agressive looking car!
I like the 1957 - 1975 corvettes that was the look!
As for having a brand new one? if I could afford it, I would buy a c5 and have this done..

Or this fine example of a Z06!

Actually... in thinking about this more..... the program reminded me more of the "VIPER" series that was on TV several years ago, rather than Knight Rider!!!!
